Snap to guides

For some strange reason, my 'snap to guides' does not seem to be working despite switching on and off repeatedly in 'Preferences'.
Any ideas folks?

Hi,

I don't know the real reason, but I would advise a restart after you make changes in the preferences of a programm.
The preferences are read during the sart of the programm, and they will not change during a session.
So make the changes and restart pagemaker.
If this doesn't work I wouldn't know

Last trial: check the "snap-in-distance" . Here it´s 0.35mm
by default. ---Gernot

Have you tried switching on Snap to Guides from the View Menu?
