snap to grid 1

I simply want to move an object and have it snap to grid.

The toold > snap and glue options seen to be set to do this, yet when I drag and release the object doesn't snap to the grid.

I found little from Visio Help and little fromsearching previous posts.

Is there a dirty little secret that I can't find to make snap to grid work ??

Check in tools > snap and glue > and you can adjust the "strength" for the Grid & others.

Also check ruler on this tool and insure that "snap" is active. Snap must be active to work.

On tools > Ruler & Grid > set to either Normal or coarse.

Adjust grid & rulers so that they are matched.

Thanks rvnguy... the "strength" factor increase made the snap to grid function the way I needed it to.
