i just got an old snap server made in 1999 with no number (1400 etc on it) it looks like a 1400 things are moved around on it. the pics of the 1400 show network port is in the back the 4 hard drives are monted side by side using 4 seprate cables. mine has the network on the front face and 4 hard drives stacked in a master slave setup 2 per cable. i would like to know any ideas on the model of this so i can use this info if needed later.
it was given to me they thought the mother board was bad on it i have not been able to connect to it using I.E. or using remote desktop. i have tryed 10.10.10.10 witch is suposted to be the ip for the os and i have tryed snapNNNNNN N=a digit of a number. i have tryed win server 08 this way also and nothing. i downloaded the snap os version 4.d how do i install this? i used an usb to ata/atapi adaptor copyed the file unziped them and put it in the system and nothing. i beleve i need snap asist however i can't find it anywhere even at overland storage where i got the os thay bought out snap from adaptec.
