Snaking Column Labels

How can i get 2 labels to span across the top of my report for all of the data. I have 2 fields DirID and Dirname, have set Columns to 3, Row spacing to 0 and Column spacing to 0.25. Same as Detail is checked. Printing is Across then Down. Thanks
