Hello all

i am having a lot of trouble with our sna server. It's Microsoft sna 3.0 running on NT 4.0. Our DC runs Windows 2000 with Active Directory.

We use NT Domain verification and all my existing users get connected without any problems. If i create a new AD user account it can't get a connection. I get the following error. "ERROR: could not open sponsor connection to
servername, do you want to run the sna client configuration program." This only happens with new accounts.

I'm very new a this sna stuff, so any help would be greatly appriciated

Regards
PeterDeker

Are you getting this message on the server or client? I have read some articles on Active Directory integration for Host Integration Server but we have not done this yet. Most of our sessions though we assign to the workstation name instead of user ids

Sounds to me like the message might be coming from the client. And it sounds to me like the client might be thinking it is trying to open a sponsor connection instead of an AD connection. But that needs to be confirmed by the user.
