SMTPMTA TABLES ( mimetype ) ??? HELP !

Hi,

We have a big problem ...

We've just discovered that some files ( ms office ) which are coming from or which are going to internet are unreadable !!
We receive the file ( ie: test.doc ) but wa can't open it !

It seems to be a mimetype conversion problem !

Our Domino is a R4 (4.6.7), so do i have to update the SMTP MTA TABLES and if i have to do how to do that ?

Hi there I'm using 4.6.6b. Never saw anything like this. We use English notes but have to support Japanese and no problem there either. I would stay well clear of the tables. They are best left alone.
However it does sound like something has become corrupt.
Do you have any antivirus software installed? Groupshield perhaps. Remove it and see if the problem goes away.

If you still have a problem uninstall notes. It would take no time. Just backup the database directory and notes.ini (cut and paste to the same drive) . Uninstall notes then reinstall notes.
Do not configure anything just copy the data directory back and notes.ini and you'll be back in business
