SMTP_E_MAILBOX_UNAVAILABLE_2(550)

When scheduling reports in CE9, I can schedule internal emails and they run and are emailed with no problem. As soon as I change the recipient to an external email, I get:

"Error Message: address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_MAILBOX_UNAVAILABLE_2(550) "

To help with troubleshooting:

- I'm using an email account that can send external emails

- I have sent the same report manually, so neither sending or receiving exchange servers is blocking attachments

- Being able to send internal emails lets me know that CE is communicating with the Exhange server and the account credentials are correct

- I've tested enclosing the recipient email adx in double quotes and received the same results

If you're using IIS, then I'd check the domains that are configured under it. For example, I have two domains configured:

1) "mycompany".com - used to send emails to recipients within my company
2) *.net - used to send emails to anybody with a .net address.

Based on these domains, if I tried to send an email you you@tek-tips.com, the email would fail because a domain is not configured to send email to that account.

What SMTP server are you using?

It's an Exchange server, but if I can manually send to *.com why isn't CE sending them? It's as if CE is looking at the domain configured in the CE SMTP config and rejecting anything not in that domain.
