Hi guys,

I have multiple mail servers in my organisation (soon to be one!) but we have a new firewall coming. So do I point the SMTP traffic to all those internal IPs and then let the SMTP Virtual Server do the work? Or is there some other config I need to do?

Thanks

George

Do you have one server configured with your SMTP connector to the Internet? That's where the firewall should be "pointing" (assuming you're not using some DMZ based hygiene solution and ISA for security.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

No there would be two servers with SMTP connectors already configured on both.
