We currently have a web server that has two nics in it. One nic is external (internet) which has a gateway assigned to it, and the other nic is internal (no gateway).
We are using the computer as a SMTP Server also, and currently the SMPT Server uses the external Nic for dns resolution and sending out email. Is there a way we can force SMTP service to use the iNternal Nic for DNS Resolution, and if that fails then use the external. The reason for this is because we have more control over our DNS Servers and can respond to it much quicker.
