I have several questions:
I installed SMTP virtual server in Win Web Server 2008 R2
It's purely for delivering email, I have not tried receiving mail.
It is able to relay / send email sent from Java servlets.
I'm trying to send an email through bmail / command line. I tried vbs script, but sometimes it doesn't send it if I change the subject / body text.. note that they are hard-coded text so there shouldn't be a problem with parameters etc. There is no error logged, no mail stuck at badmail or queue.
I tried telnet, and I have also encountered occasions where it is not sending. the .eml shows up one second in the Queue folder and disappeared. I assumed it was delivered but it never get to the receipient. (not even junk mail)
I tried bmail (the free client) and it has never worked. There was no error. It always says "queued mail for delivery" but there is nothing being sent.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?
How do I set the smtp to not receive any emails?
Regards,
Namida
