Using Avaya CM Messaging, I've attempted setting up SMTP relay of voicemail off the system with no luck.
I have defined my smtp relay in Server Administration->External Hosts. I then added selected that host in the dropdown under Mailbox Gateway Machine Name within the IMAP/SMTP Administration->Mail Options screen.
I see mail trying to queue, and looking at postfix mailq output it looks like the avaya system is looking up MX records for the host I defined in external hosts, which makes no sense.
Is there a clear set of instructions on how to enable SMTP relay of voicemail? The subscriber has a valid Email address defined, and from what I can tell the COS doesn't prevent anything.
