We currently have exchange 2000 sp2 running on the server.
The problem is that we can receive and send emails no problem all day. Then suddenly the outbound queue will just freeze and no emails will go out.
We have checked teh band width stats which showed possible relaying activity but this has been checked (it has been switched off)and appears to be ok.
We were advised it could be a large email going out which has resulted in the queue, but how can this be rectified?
We currently have a 2mb line throttled to 512kb on a permanent connection, and the limits set 10 connections.
We can stop and start the virtual server to resolve this, but would like to get to the bottom of it.
Any ideas
