Hi,

We are using Lotus Domino R5 mail server on Windows NT. I am facing problem while sending mails to some of the mail servers. Mails are bouncing back with following error.


Your message

Subject: Re: Hi

was not delivered to:

abc5@abc.com

because:

Error transferring to ABC.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 503 5.0.0 Need RCPT (recipient)


This is happening only for few of the mail servers. For all other sites the mails are going fine.

If anybody knows the solution to this error please help us.

Hi,

This means that the SMTP protocol was not executed correctly. The destination server found no recipient in your message.

Check the following:

1/
Make sure your firewall is not strippinh headers

2/
In the configuration document do not enable "Pipeline" commands for outgoing SMTP.

See if this makes a difference.
