Hi,
I have a Windows 2k3 Web Edition server (dedicated server with a hosting company) running a few sites some of which send auto generated emails to customers. I occasionally get delivery failures for these messages and spotted a clue in one of them today - the message was rejected with the following reason:
Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
The IP does have a reverse lookup but as I'm hosting several domains the reverse lookup domain doesn't match the domain of the emails being sent. Is this the cause of the messages being rejected and is there any way of stopping this happening?
Any ideas appreciated!
