SMTP Mail Server Security

If I put the login details of my smtp server in my cf page to send the details entered on the page does this not leave the mail server setting hackable ?????

Unless you have something wrong with your setup, your users should never see the code so that means your machine needs to be compromised for someone to read the code. Ask yourself, if your machine is compromised is the biggest problem you have going to be someone having an e-mail address and password?
