Need help, and fast!
Think one of the xchange servers in our building is being used as a relay. The IMS is full to the brim at the mo with outbound mails from some other company. Ive put the major email add in the reject list (dunno if this works on relay side of things). They only have a modem with no firewall/proxie so i need a quick fix if poss...

Any ideas appreciated!

Check this article out. (Q193922)

Make sure you back the registry up before you start hacking so you can recover if you need to.

There are lots of previous posts regarding this, but here's what to do, in a nutshell:

Go into the IMS, to the routing page.
Select Reroute incoming SMTP mail, then click the 'add' button on the right.
Add your domain name (or names), and select 'Should be accetped as inbound', and click OK.
Click on the Routing Restricitons button, and then select 'Hosts and clients with these IP addresses', but don't add any IP addresses. Then click OK.
Job done.
All you need to do now is stop and restart the IMS service in control panel.

Your server is now no longer an open relay.
