Are there any known issues with the Avaya IP Office Application Server v8.1.20-3 and SMTP functionality that I am not aware of?

I just upgraded to the lastest build thinking that the previous release could have been an issue and its still not working. I am getting the same error messages in my verbose logging under /opt/vmpro/log/ (which may I add, is not very verbose at all). It is as follows:

12/02/2013 18:20:47.009 - bool CSMTPConnection::Disconnect(): Already disconnected from SMTP server, doing nothing.

bool CSMTPConnection::Connect(SQLUINTEGER&, const TCHAR*, CSMTPConnection::LoginMethod, const TCHAR*, const TCHAR*, int, const TCHAR*, int): Could not connect to the SMTP server 1.1.1.1 on port 25. 110 [0x6e] (Connection timed out) calling connect from bool CMailSocket::Connect(const sockaddr*, int)

That is the first error message that I see after a fresh reboot of the server.

It was working perfectly and then all of a sudden it just stopped. I have yet to get it working again ever since it stopped about 4 weeks ago.

The only thread that comes close to my issue is However the link with the screenshot is old, although I am pretty confident that my SMTP settings are correct.

I have also verified that I can telnet to my SMTP server on port 25 and generate an email directly from it, everything works from that perspective, indicating that there is no routing issues or anything on the SMTP side. I feel strongly that its an Avaya thing, however the logging is absolutely garbage, or I dont know of another way to get any further information.

Any help is extremely appreciated.

Well, I wanted to reach out to this community before I went down that route. Normally there is great feedback here.
