SMTP ciscoworks 2000

Hi

I try to use the mail notification with ciscoworks, i xwnat to know if it s necessary to have a specifique account on the SMTP server for ciscoworks ?????

In fact when I send a notification, I don t have the mail in my mailbox, but the SMTP server is the right one.


If someone can help me....

No. It is just using it as a relay. Al

OK, for the relay but.....

I have check my mail server, it s all right, but I have an error when I try to send a mail notification under DFM monitor console:

Error sending mail: com.smarts.store.SmStoreException: ACT-E-While attempting to connect to mail server MAIL:25 <SYS>-Connection refused

I have checked the differnt setting of the monitor console:

configuration setting:

Domain Manager: DFM
name: test
Email: test@supervision.com

Mail server: MAIL
Sender email address: admin@supervision.com

I have compared them with the setting of the mail notifier ( DFM->fault notification->Mail notifier ):

Current settings:

Adapter: Enabled
Recipient List test@supervision.com
SenderID admin@supervision.com
MailServer: MAIL

All seems OK but it s not working if you have an idea....
