Our ISP has enabled SMTP authentication on their server and our SBS Exchange is now unable to send any email to the internet. Outlook error: 550 relay not permitted.
SBS Exch is setup to use POP connector to retrieve email from mailboxes at ISP which seems to work fine. Where can I change this SMTP authentication setting?

It depends on where you've configured your smarthost. If you configured it in the Default SMTP virtual server (under protocols, SMTP), you need to go into your Default SMTP Virtual Server, get properties, go to Delivery tab, choose the Outbound Security button and put your credentials in there. Use Basic Authentication.

If you set it up in the Small Business SMTP Connector (under Connectors) you will go into the Advanced tab and click on Outbound Security.
