greetings,
I have an IIS smtp virtual server on a W2K server machine. This server is on an Active Directory network. When I send mail through the SMTP server, I want to authenticate using the AD accounts but authentication fails. If I add a Local user account on the machine with the same name and pass as the AD account, then it works fine.
For some reason, the SMTP server appears to use the local machine account info to authenticate and not the AD accounts even though it is connected to and logged onto the AD Domain using an AD account.
Have I missed something here?
Can I force the server to use the AD accounts for authenticating users?
