We are using Gold Mine 5.5 our ISP is implementing a new mail server that uses qmail to send email. It requires SMTP authentication. The usernames will be in the format of (username@theredomain.com). My understanding is that Gold Mine 5.5 does not support SMTP authentication. Is there any work around to make this version to work with out upgrading? We have 25 users and upgrading would be too costly. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Hi
If you do the following in GoldMine 5.5.10424
Select Edit | Preferences to display the user preferences
Click on the Internet tab
Click on the Accounts Button to show Internet preferences
Highlight one of the mail accounts and select Edit
The Email Account Properties is displayed
Click the Advanced Options button
Check the The Server requires authentication
You can now specify a username and password for the SMTP
server.
