Hi all,

Just installed my first XRN setup using 2x4060 and 16x4400 with 1GB Fibre modules at a site. Everything is going sweet and seems to be running ok. The only bit Im having trouble with is the SMTP Alert Messages from the core switches. They are using NAT at the site and I have used IPs for the switches which have been excluded from their DHCP superscope. They have a Cisco PIX 506E firewall, which I suspect may be the problem.

I would like the switch to send an alert to the administartors email account which is held locally on an exchange 5.5 server. I have entered the IP address of the mail server but the administrator doesnt receive the e-mail. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.
