SMS Tracking machines?

How does SMS pull it's original list of machines to verify? Is it comparing
in AD. Does it pull from AD or LDAP calls? Is it from the SMS Client or SMS
Db.

It depends on what type of discovery method you use...AD system discovery will pull from AD, Network discovery uses snmp I believe..
