SMS to internet? 1

Howdy,

I want to set up a web site, where people can send SMS messages from their phone which become messages on the site (for example creating this message on my phone, SMSing it to this site and having my message appear on this forum)
And where my site can generate messages to be SMS'ed back.

This would be a money making idea, you know the kind where ppl pay say 55cents per SMS and you get 25cents of it (the other 30cents going to the phone companies I guess)

So how do I go about setting this sort of thing up?

Well, I don't know anything about SMS, but I will give this advice; if you have an idea you want to make money with, don't go telling others about it. Keep it to yourself and bear through researching it the hard way.

Hi mate,

Unless you have a high traffic site or plenty of upfront cash, this is going to be some task to acheive.

Firstly, the phone company will require money from you to set this up, unless you can give them a great business plan with huge projected sales.

Sending SMS from the net to a phone is simple and can be achieved many ways, but sending the opposite direction is going to cost you money. The surcharge that you hope to add is going to be the difficult part, but only a phone company can help you with that.
