Hi,

Does anyone know what protocols and specifically what ports that SMS Servers use to commuicate with one another. I am in need of this information.

From primary site servers to secondary site servers.

Months ago I experienced troubles when connecting via SMS AdminConsole to the SMS-Server and was given the following by MS-support:

CAUSE
=====
Firewall clients block the ports used by the SMS Admin Console MMC to connect to the SMS Site Server.

WORKAROUND
==========
Disable the firewall client while using the remote SMS Administrator Console.

MORE INFORMATION
================
Instead of disabling the console, you may be able to open up the network ports the console uses to connect to the SMS Site Server. The required ports include 4308, 4465, 4502, 4553.

Hope this helps,
Chris
