SMS over multiple domains

I have sms working perfectly (or as good as) in one domain. Since I also have another domain which is trusted by my existing domain. Can I use sms on the trusted domain, by simply adding the subnet that the trusted domain exists in?

Or do I have to have a seperate sms environment and server for each domain? I hope that since the trust is both ways I can do the first option.
