SMS not reporting correct OS CSD version

I have deployed SMS2003 to my environment, and used the tool to determine the workstations that were not at W2K SP4 level. I then used SMS to push out the new service pack. It has been a week now since the push and workstations that have been upgraded to SP4 still appear in the collection of workstations with SP3 and they do not appear in the collection of workstations with SP4.

My current configuration performs a software inventory collection every day during a time when all workstations are on.

Any ideas on why the CSD Revision information is not being updated?

Have you forced your collections to update or scheduled the update to occur with greater frequency?

I figured the problem out. I misunderstood the difference between Hardware and Software inventories. I shortened the schedule of Hardware Inventory collection and it updated on the next cycle.
