I am trying to get an accurate account of Micrsoft Office products in our network. We run different version such as Office 95/97/2000/ and soon to be XP. Any suggestions from the experts? I know to use Software inventory agent but what would be the best way to do this without creating a mif file. If in fact a Mif file is the way to go, just let me know.

Easy way (depends on how you look at it)? If you use exchange you can go into exchange admin and under the server you will find a section that will show you versions of outlook. If you didn't give users office 97 and outlook 98 or something like that you should be good to go.
