has anyone successfully configured CW2000 to send sms messages in case of a problem.
I have been asked to look into this.

Hi Astin,

I've got email notifications going from syslog events and from DFM events (Cisco bundle a sample perl email script in CW2k). If you cellular phone provider gives you a email/sms gateway, then you could do it this way.

If you need to SMS directly from the CW2K application, you would need to purchase a 3rd party application.

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have 'inherited' this CW setup - so is there a way I can check to see if a perl script is running ? Are there other places where i can get this script.
At the moment, DFM is emailing me messages - but they seem very generic.
Any help much appreciated as always
