SMS installation

Hi all,

I`m new to SMS, actualy i`m stuck on installation
I have installed SQL 2005 and now i`m trying to install the SMS
On installation i`m getting an error:
"Setup can not create the requered database table.Contact your SQL administrator"

Any of you guys ever saw this error?

I got the same problem. Trying to instal Ms SMS on Win 2003 Enterprise Edition SP 1 with MsSQL Server 2005.

Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

Hi,
I found the problem...Even if microsoft is saying that it SMS 2003 should work with (MY)SQL 2005 - it isn`t.
I installed SQL 2000 ans it worked as charm...It is suppoerted untill SQL 2000 (includeing 8 and 7 versions)

Now do you know how to work with SMS? How can i deploy software/recive the full scan of software/hardware in my network?
