SMS from VFP

I am looking for a solution to send SMS text messages from my VFP Contact Management system.

My great idea(which is the reason for this thread) is to send the text message as an email to the phone number. This requires I know the carrier for each phone number I send to which is not realistic.

My great idea is to send the txt message to all(or at least the major) carriers. I know that the phone number will be unique and therefore all the emails except the right one will fail.

I think this should work, but am worried some bot will decide I am spamming the world and I will be shut down.

Does anyone have an opinion about this, or perhaps a better approach to the problem.

Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Maybe one of them is what you are looking for.

One thing you didn't mention is which country or region you want to provide this service in. There are several companies that provide what you are looking for, but they generally work with specific phone networks and specific countries.

Typically, the company acts as an intermediary. You send the message, plus the list of phone numbers, to the service, and they forward it in bulk to the individual phones. They charge on a per-message basis.

These are not VFP-specific solutions. I suggest you search for something like "send sms from my computer".
