SMS from AIX/Unix System

Hi folks,
I wrote a script which periodically monitors the system.
This script sends an e-mail to someone to inform about the system status.
Now I need to send a SMS message to someone cell phone when the system goes really bad.
Are there any specific software to do this?
Is it enough to send an e-mail to some provider?

In my environment I just send an email to the cell phone ,which address includes the specific cell phone number plus the providers web extension.

MoshiachNow is correct just research the cell company of the person(s) you want the SMS message to go to.....

yep -- just hookup your cell -- no need for special s/w
