SMS Exit Code 1?

I have written a batch file that installs OpenOffice and then does some modifications to the install. Now it works fine, installs the package onto the users PC and the install works a treat, however SMS is reporting a failure because of error code 1.

Any way around this? How do I get the install to return a successful install?

eliminate SMS from your issue.

either way your batch file should be doing the following:

logging what it is doing
logging the return code from the setup.exe or msi call to the vendor supplied install binaries
your batch file should exit with a return code of 0 for success and choose something else for failure,,,,1 for instance.

so, what return code is your batch file returning?

I haven't wrote any error reporting or exit code into the batch file. Am not sure how I'd even do that.
