One of my file servers (All NT 4.0 Server w/ SP 6a) has this problem.
With information code 10200 and 10201 in the event viewer, it reported "SMS client has been successfully installed"
and right after that, "No site has been assigned to this client , remove all components." appeared.
Normally, this would happen if the client was assigned to more than one site, but I have no hierarchy, and only one SMS site with
the same subnet for all clients.
In collection, I could see the server's assigned column, checked as YES.
In its properties, this server is listed as NT workstation 4.0.. : (
I also checked on services running on this server when SMS had tried to install its software.
After SMS bootstrap started running, SMS Client service kicked in and started, but died after all.
Anyone had this problem before?
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
