SMS client Build/Ver number 1

I have just upgraded to SP2 then SP3 (almost immediatly). I have been asked (by an in house developer) to check whether all client components have been updated to SP3 level. Is there a version /build number on any of the client components that is updated to signify it is at SP3

any help would be greatly appreciated

As far as I know, the out-of-the-box SMS def_mof only collects the SMS base components version value, which can be seen in the R_System.ClientVersion field as 2.00.1493.2009 for SP2 or 2.00.1493.3010 for SP3.

You could collect each component version from the registry from HKLM\SW\MS\SMS\Client\Client Components\[Component]\Installation Properties\Installed Version

On the client each component version can be seen in the Systems Management properites Components tab.

On the CAP the version can be seen for each component at \\[server]\CAP_[site]\clicomp.box\[component]\compver.ini

If you simply want to check a few clients, you can manually go to Control Panel --> Systems Management --> Components and view the version for the installed components. It should read 2.00.1493.3010 for SP3. Joseph L. Poandl
