I asked this question in the Server 2003 forum but maybe this is realy a SMS question.
---------------------------------------------------------

Can someone please explain to me the process of how to give parent domain administrators - local administrator access to all child server servers?

I am the SMS administrator of a company that merged with another. Our domain became the child domain of the company that purchased us. Now of course my child domain SMS administrator ID does not have administrator privileges on the parent domain servers.

I do have a parent domain administrator's ID but I've been told that this ID will need to be added manualy (or via script) to all child domain servers so my packages across domains will have the proper privleges. Or is it the other way around ... my child domain administrator ID has to be added to the parent domain local administrators group?

What is the easiest way to do this? I would expect that we would have to do this both ways for administrators in both domains to have SMS administrator access to all computers in both domains.

I would think all you need is rights on the central site in the sms_admin group....but honestly I never did that before.
