Hi!
We have different departments here and depending on the departments the system-names are different in the first two signs.
For example:
department 1 - system name: HS<USR>XPPC
department 2 - system name: WE<USR>XPPC
Each department uses the same software but with different versions. So our collections are based (or differ) on the first two signs of our system-names.
The Problem:
Sometimes the the IP-adress of a "HS"-Client refelcts in the reverse-lookup zone to a "WE"-Client. So SMS starts to uninstall the HS-Software and afterwards it installs the WE-Software which is wrong.
We have the lease-time at minumum - nevertheless the wrong allocation stays alive.
Can we somehow reach the goal, that SMS only cares about the system-name and not the IP-adress of the client?
I hope I made the problem somehow clear. Can anybody help me?
Best regards,
Gerhard
