We have an active SMS 2003 SP1 site (S01) and will be retiring the hardware. The company wants SMS 2003 on a different server, upgraded to SP3 so we have installed a new primary site (S02), also active, on another machine. The question is, how do I migrate the clients from site S01 to site S02? Site S01 will go away with the hardware it sits on.

I reviewed a few posts but didn't find my particular situation. Thanks for any advice!

If you have created a new Primary site then I think the only way you will be able to do this is to re-deploy the clients from the S02 site to the S01 clients.

The existing clients all look to S01 as the site, they don't know anything about S02 and because it's not a Secondary\Child site they won't ever know about it.
