SMS 2003 Manual Install - no Gold Key

I'm manually installing SMS Advanced Client on a Win2k system (client push not working - go figure). I manually enable remote tools, edit the registry to enable all tools. SMS Server sees the client, can connect to remote tools and even remote control - but if the workstation is locked, the "gold key" unlock doesn't work.

I see other "gold key" resolutions out there but those are for SMS 2.0 and reference items not used in SMS 2003 like kbstuff.

Anyone help me?

what service pack on that win 2000 machine?

Actually not only the 1st q but it seems to me the client might be having problems connecting to the MP and its not getting policies, whats in your client logs?
