Does anyone know if there is a SMS Database addin for SMS 2003 that can be used to pull reports out of SMS through crystal.

And also if there is something to add manual fields to the database, for "manual" fields,.... ie stuff that isnt automatically collected for a device, but can be manually added and reported on.

I could do it in SMS2.0, but currently have no idea how to do it in SMS2003.

Hope you can help
Cheers
James

SMS is a SQL db, so just set an ODBC, connect through Crystal, and you're off and running. I do it all the time with Crystal v9. I am confused by what you mean by 'database add-in', so maybe I'm not following your question.

As far as adding fields, do it through SQL. I believe it is the alter table command.

Mich,

Appreciate the above post, however the only information im getting from the SQL SMS 2003 Database is pretty much useless.

Where is all the Hardware / Software information. All i can see is 4 tables with nothing more than 12 tables in the "SMSDATA"

Am i doing something wrong, or is the hardware/ software information kept elsewhere?

Thanks again
James

Odd, I'm looking at my tables now. There are 75-100 of them not including views. The only thing I can think it might be is a permissions issue. Make sure you are part of the SMS Admins group (I believe that is the default admin group).
