I have about 400 client machines, mostly Win2K, on which I am attempting to install the SMS 2003 client. I have the Client Push Installation set up with an account called SMS_Push_Client that is in our Domain Admins group. Of the 400 clients, 262 have installed perfectly but the rest will not install. The unsuccessful clients show up in the All Systems Collection as Assigned=Yes, Client=No.
Looking at the ccm.log file, I see errors such as "Access Denied" or "Path Not Found". For some of these clients, I found out that they were laptop users who were not connected to our LAN at the time. The rest, however, should not be having problems. The Domain Admins group is in the Local Admins group on these PCs just like they are on the successfully installed clients.
For Discovery methods, I am using Active Directory System Discovery. I tried also using Network Discovery but I still cannot get the rest of the PCs to show up.
Any ideas? Thank you for your time.
