SMS 2.0 REMOTE TOOLS OVER SMS 1.2 WON'T INSTALL

Hello all, I'm new to this forum. I'm doing an sms 2.0 client install and it seems I have a couple exceptions with remote control. On a couple of clients I get installation pending. When I check the logs it's saying that 1.2 remote control is still on the system. No freakin way. I've tried everything possible to eliminate it from the systems. Waxed and re-installed the client to no avail. Multiple re-boots.
Any advice?

Just an update to this I've already run the 20clicin.bat from the reskit and whacked all sms files and registry entries, and reinstalled the client. It's the same problem. It's a windows 95 box.

I ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION. WORD TO OTHERS.
Make sure ALL!!!!! SMS 1.2 files are off the computer. We were minutes away from calling Microsoft only to find that the user had 3 other partitions that we didn't know about. The old sms files were there. Once we whacked em, it installed like a charm.
Just like Papa Smurf used to say, "Don't overlook the obvious."
