SMS 2.0 on Windows 2000 AS

When I upgraded to Windows 2000 Advanced Server, the install program told me that my SMS SP1 install was not compatible with this OS. Does anyone know when Microsoft is going to release an update to SMS 2.0 to run under Windows 2000?<br>
Will SMS even be needed after Windows 2000 is deployed?<br>

Windows 2000's Intellimirror is for LAN environments. SMS is still the Microsoft standard for enterprise environments, particularly across a WAN.<br>

Microsoft will release SMS 2.0 SP2 90 days after Windows 2000's official release. SP2 will include "features" to allow Win2K and SMS to operate together.<br>
