I'm having to move my SMS 2.0 SP4 to another server. The new server is Win2K3 and SQL2K (8.0). When trying to install SMS 2.0 (from the original CD prior to SP2), it asks me to designate the version of SQL; 6.5 or 7.0. Since I have neither, I choose 7.0. The installation eventually fails because; I guess, it isn't written for SQL 8.0. I have all SMS Service Pack CDs from 1 thru 5 and have tried installing all but SP5. They each realize that no primary site has been installed but only allow me a secondary site installation or SMS Tools. I'm caught in a circle. I can't run SQL 7 on a Win2K3 server but I can't install SMS because I don't have SQL 7. Any ideas?
