I have made a ticker tape affect for a flash movie. View it at You may notice that it is not totally smooth even though each ticker tape (they are seperate movies) is made of 1200 frames at 25fps. I belive that this is not neccessary, but is the smoothest I can do.

hi mattys

There's no need for your ticker-tape to be 1200 frames long from what I can see, at most I would say you need 3 frames wih some nice scripting. If you post a link to your fla or e-mail me the relevant ticker-tape graphics I'll re-jig it for optimisation.

This is just a variation of the good old Gallery fla, but without the user interaction.

If you ever want to add anything to the ticker, just open the library and double-click GALLERY. There's an invisible graphic in there in order that a blank space appears between scrolls, remove that if you want and see the result.

If it's scrolling too slow/fast, just double-click the mc "a" in the library and change the value of variable "f".

Hope this helps a little.
