Hi I was looking for some help.
At the moment I'm curently migrating all 2000 dbs to 2005.
Ive done this by doing a quick and dirty restore. However due to space issues and lack of device I can't do it for my datawarehouse. I thought using copy database would do the trick however after alot of issue surronding login etc I thought I had finaly got there but as always nope just the beginning!!
The copy database seems to be copying views before tables which doesn't make any sense. I was looking on the MSDN forums when it suggests using SMO script and run it as a job.
Ive looked on the server progfiles../90/.. but don't see any of the dlls which suggests that smo is not installed.
DO i need to look for it in the install disk? if so where?
or there has been some mention that it is avialable in SP2?
I have 64 SE 2005 SP2 ( new rolling hot fix bundle)
Any advice whould be fantastic!!
Cheers
Robert
