When I run "smitty chtz_date" and then "Change Time Zone Using System Defined Values" I get:

on AIX 5.2, 5.3:

- I am asked for "Use DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME?"
- have on list:
(CUT0) Coordinated Universal Time (CUT)

on AIX 6.1:
- I am no more asked for "Use DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME?"
- instead I get TZ lists but CUT0 is not on the list

Anyone can explain what has changed in AIX 6.1 regarding TZ settings?

thx!.

I set the CUT zone editing /etc/environment file + reboot.

# grep TZ /etc/environment
TZ=CUT0
# date
Sun Jul 20 18:10:05 CUT 2008
#

anyhow, in AIX 6.1 I could't do it from smitty in the way I did it in AIX 5.3...
