Smit VG 1

Hi there all,

I have a strange question which has got me confused.

When I go into "smitty vg" I get double of every menu option. This only happens on this smit menu no others. Even if I go to add a disk to a volume group I get two of everything to enter.

OS Level is AIX 5.3 ML3

Have any of you come across this before?

Looks like your term setting is wrong.

Try

TERM=vt100 ; export TERM

I've seen it also, due to a specific level of LVM filesets. But I can't remember exact fileset name or level.

i've had a similar problem once , within smitty users
had to call support, had to mess around in the odm for getting it fixed.( cause is minor odm corruption )

what i say might not fix the problem but why don't you upgrade ML to the lastest one better?!?

I don't think the ML would make that much difference as we have 15 other LPAR's on the same OS and ML.
