SMIT mksysb command status window closes

I just upgraded an F30 from AIX 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 ML 09, upgrading all installed software except the documentation. When using SMIT mksysb fastpath command the status window automatically closes when the backup is done, but the backup does end successfully. It use to show the running man standing up and also the Done button to click, now the window just closes. Other commands, besides the mksysb, do come back with standing man and require you to close the window manually. Anyone know what needs to be done to get it back?

What happens when you use smitty?

I use smitty, but frequently peek into the smit.log and smit.script files rather than keeping the smitty screen up.
