SMIGRATE problem

I'm involved in a project thats using Sharepoint (the free download) on a Windows 2003 Server and I'm trying to work out a backup strategy for it.

I've just tried doing a SMIGRATE backup in order to practise moving it to another server, but it stops immediately at the Connected to site entry. I've verified the paths etc, and even tried using the -u and -pw options as its setup to use SSL.

Could the SSL be causing this problem? (I'm running the script on the server in question).

Do you get the same error if you use the IP address instead of the DNS name?
